Fiona Jacobs qualified as a chiropractor from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic in 1984 as the Best All Round Student. She returned to her home town of Bury St Edmunds to begin practice, supplementing her experience by working alongside an experienced chiropractor in Peterborough. The practice increased in size steadily as she spent more time concentrating on Bury St Edmunds, and soon devoted all her time to the practice in the town. A part time associate joined her in 1988, and finally in 1991 the practice moved to its present location in Northgate Street with two full time associates.

She has pursued a specialist interest in treating sports injuries and undertaken post graduate study, first becoming a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician in 1991, (an American syllabus and examination) and later a Masters degree in Sports Medicine at Nottingham University in 1998. This has allowed her to work both nationally and internationally with athletes and led to many and varied experiences from the All Africa Games of ’91 and ’95, travelling all over the world with the GB Masters track and field team, to the 2012 Olympic Games when she was part of the host nation Physical Services team.

She has also used her skills to teach and lecture her peers, medical doctors and athletes. She has been awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Chiropractors in recognition of her academic achievements, and Fellowship of the British Chiropractic Association for her work promoting and supporting the profession.

She has a second Masters degree in Musculo-skeletal Diagnostic Ultrasound, using the latest in ultrasound imaging technology to provide a better service to all her patients and those of the clinic.

Fiona was born in Suffolk and was educated here. She has a husband, a dog, (Coco, the “relief” receptionist) and two children, which alongside her other interests of tennis, gardening and singing, seem to occupy all her time.
