Exercise Rehabilitation Bury St Edmunds Chiropractic Clinic

Exercises are an important of your long term treatment plan and here at the Bury St Edmunds Chiropractic Clinic your chiropractor may suggest regular exercise as part of your long term treatment plan.  This can take one of two types:

  • Exercises that are repeated every day that are directed buy your chiropractor and chosen to suit your specific problem. These are usually repeated daily (maybe even more than once a day) and we have specific exercise sheets to guide you and these can be found below for you to download directly.
  • Exercise that forms part of your everyday life. It is important to maintain activity to exercise your heart and lungs and research tells us that 30 minutes of activity that gets you slightly out of breath and warm, three times a week is what we all should be aiming to achieve.  Your chiropractor can guide and suggest strategies to help you achieve this.

Rehabilitation after injury is also important to your recovery, and involves carefully constructed and graded programme, designed not only for the activities that you want to return to, but to your individual problem. Rehabilitation programmes are stepped and tailored to your needs and the type of problems you have had, each one is individual to you and your problem.

If you have either back or neck pain please check with your chiropractor or therapist before starting any exercise programme and if you suffer with any pain please stop immediately.

  • Part of your long term treatment plan
  • Regular spinal exercises may help to keep you fit and well
  • Exercise should be part of a healthy lifestyle and research recommends 30min, 3 times a week
  • A programme individually tailored for you
