Back Pain in Pregnancy Bury St Edmunds Chiropractic Clinic

Low back pain and pelvic dysfunction may occur during pregnancy.   Body shape alterations due to the developing baby and natural hormonal changes could alter the biomechanics of the spine and pelvis, which can lead to pain and discomfort.

Low back pain in pregnancy can be debilitating and cause difficulty in completing activities of work and daily living.  Chiropractors are experienced in dealing with all types of mechanical low back pain and are happy to see you at any time during your pregnancy.

Our aim, when treating pregnant females, is to minimise musculoskeletal strain on the lower back and pelvic regions.  We can also advise on how to improve posture and strength.

Chiropractic manipulation during pregnancy, when performed by a qualified practitioner, is safe for both mum and her baby.  The chiropractor will assess your posture and conduct specific tests to determine how best to help you.  As your body shape changes through pregnancy the chiropractor will adapt to suit you.  We have a special pillow that allows you to lie on your front, which many patients love!

Suitable treatment for:

  • All pregnant women
  • All stages of pregnancy
  • Correct imbalances in muscles and ligaments
  • Improving posture and strength
